Grantmaking & Program Manager – Southwest United States (Arizona & New Mexico): Our Southwest grantmaking has a current portfolio of 20 organizations, and 2022 will be spent deepening our relationships in the region. To that end, we are looking for a Grantmaking & Program Manager with deep roots in the Southwest (Arizona & New Mexico) to support the continued health and growth of our Southwest grantmaking and highlight the importance of this program to our broader community.

Grantmaking & Program Manager – Liberated Paths: Delaware River Watershed (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania & Delaware): We are currently seeking a Grantmaking & Program Manager to lead our Liberated Paths grantmaking program in the Delaware River Watershed region which includes portions of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. To build a more just and sustainable outdoor and environmental movement, the Liberated Paths Grantmaking Program supports outdoor initiatives and organizations that cultivate and celebrate the contributions of Black, Indigenous, and Communities of Color and affirm the many experiences and identities our communities hold.

Movement Network Coordinator: This part-time, salaried position will be instrumental in establishing a movement network of outdoor/environmental education professionals through written and verbal communications, managing meeting schedules, and convening both virtual and in-person engagement opportunities to a wide range of stakeholders, partners, and funders.

Director of Programs: The new Director of Programs will lead three of Justice Outside’s key programs (Outdoor Educators Institute, Rising Leader Fellowship, Cultural Relevancy Series), which provide both established and aspiring outdoor professionals with the skills necessary to transform the environmental field to a more equitable and inclusive culture. The new Director will also present at local and national conferences, and occasionally facilitate equity, inclusion, and cultural relevancy trainings. Reporting directly to the Chief Program Officer and working collaboratively across the Justice Outside team, the new director will manage at least two direct reports and coordinate, implement, and oversee all aspects of programs.

Development Associate: Reporting to the Director of Donor Engagement and working closely with the Justice Outside team and a growing network of program alumni, the new Development Associate will support our annual fundraising efforts by maintaining a record of donations, donor information,  and grants. They will also provide support to all aspects of Justice Outside’s foundation and corporate partnerships as well as individual donor engagement strategies. Successful candidates in this role will be detail- oriented with strong problem solving skills and the ability to work naturally in a team environment.  You will join a collaborative team of self-motivated leaders who value equity, cultural relevancy, and inclusion as building blocks for effective work. We rely on creativity, flexibility, technology, listening, critical thinking, and humor to bring out the best in each other and our training participants, and we offer multiple opportunities for professional growth.

Grantmaking and Program Manager for Liberated Paths: Youth Access to Nature Fund: This role will collaborate with the grantmaking team to support the continued health and growth of the YAN Fund and highlight the importance of this program to our broader community, while giving priority to the voices, experiences, and perspectives of communities of color, and to strengthening the overall outdoor and environmental movement. The Youth Access to Nature Fund aims to ensure youth of color living in the Bay Area have access to meaningful experiences in nature to support their growth as leaders and students, and to improve their mental and physical health. This position will involve responsibilities in the Greater Bay Area of California.

Database Manager: This position will be responsible for helping Justice Outside take the next steps forward in our growth and development by ensuring our systems are supporting our team in building the deep and lasting relationships that are so key to our work. The Database Manager will create systems and policies for data management, oversee Justice Outside databases (including CRM and grants management systems), and advance the goals of our fundraising, communications, administrative, grantmaking, and program departments by ensuring a smooth connection to our data. We are open to candidates from all locations.
