Outdoor Educators Institute (OEI) Program Manager

Tyler Gonzales (he/him) is the Outdoor Educators Institute (OEI) Program Manager here at Justice Outside. In this role he supports all of the OEI cohorts which is a training program by and for People of Color looking to build skills and community to enter the outdoor education field.

He has been an outdoor educator for the past 10 years working and living in some of the most beautiful places in Texas, California, Tennessee, and Washington. For most of his career environmental justice and racial equity in outdoor education has been his focus by leading outdoor programs that shift resources to Black, Indigenous, and Communities of Color.

Tyler really enjoys new experiences, birding, local parks, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
