Leierin Carney

Leierin (she/they) is a Climate Action Fellow through Americorps. Leierin has spent the last year working on multiple community projects at Fresno Metro Ministry and has chosen to serve a second term. Yo’Ville Community Garden and Farm Incubator is a project that gave her an opportunity to help design a community food forest, teach a Summer gardening program for kids, and put together workshops to help educate local residents about gardening. Her passion is Regenerative Land Stewardship, and she hopes to one day help farmers from the Central Valley turn away from Monoculture and embrace Indigenous Agriculture. She loves to make people laugh and experiencing everything life has to offer. Some of her hobbies are playing video games, snowboarding, reading, and painting.
