Dylan Kiyo Kennedy

Program Assistant – San Francisco / Oakland cohort

Dylan (they/them) is a mixed queer environmental educator, activist, artist and adventurer based in the SF Bay Area, aspiring to a life lived by the season. They focus their learning and action on anti-colonial praxis as the path towards a socio-environmentally just, sustainable future, and consider outdoor engagement and education as direct movement building. Dylan values relational ecology, queer joy and community outdoors, indigenous and youth leadership, and emotional honesty. They love road trips, dogs, backpacking, misunderstood wildlife, storytelling, the concept of tornado potatoes, and the Pacific Northwest. In the future they see themself fighting fires, making nature prints, getting more tattoos, writing books, and identifying wild flora and fauna everywhere. Ask them about their UFO sighting, favorite nature spots, bioluminescence, near-death experiences, and falling in love!
