Get Outside With Justice Outside x CESSOS x Story Riders

When: Saturday, October 5th, 9:30 am to 1:00 pm MDT
Where:
Meet up at the cross street of Central and Sunset

In collaboration with the Center for Social Justice Sustainable Systems (CESSOS) and the Center of Southwest Culture Inc. (Story Riders), we are excited to host a community event that combines biking, acequias, and community building!

We welcome everyone to join this free event, where we’ll share stories and discuss acequia-related issues and community matters with local community members while biking or walking along the acequias. Our goal is to educate about the history of the surrounding communities and continue the efforts to protect the acequias. Participants will also have the chance to learn about native plants from a local herbalist during the walk and bike.

Please wear comfortable clothes for biking/walking and snacks will be provided! You’re welcome to bring your own bike, but bikes will also be available (details provided during event registration). Keep in mind that the bike ride will be primarily on dirt roads. Bring sunscreen as well. After registering for the event, please make sure to fill out google form and the waiver.

We’re excited to spend the morning with you and build community!

This community event is a part of a series of events in 2024. Click here to sign up for updates from Justice Outside to learn about future gatherings.
