Winnie was born in New Zealand, but moved to the Bay Area with her family when she was a kid. She graduated from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. Winnie majored in Economics and minored in Public Policy Studies. Majoring in economics, Winnie is passionate about understanding economic inequality and how it impacts low income communities. She is very excited to be a part of the Outdoor Educators Institute this year, and from it, hopes to understand how to better equip her communities to access the outdoors
