Annie Miller grew up in Western Nevada, where her connection to nature grew through hiking, fishing, and skiing in the Sierra Nevadas. She studied Biology and Environmental Science at Tufts University, seeking a career outdoors investigating the interconnectedness of the natural world. After graduating, she worked as an Environmental Educator in San Francisco, which sparked her passion for equitable outdoor science education and nature connection for young people. This led her to her current role, where she studies youth learning in outdoor science programs at the California Academy of Sciences. Annie is dedicated to continuing to learn from the communities she has the privilege to work with in order to increase equity and access in outdoor spaces.
