Erika (she/her) was born and raised in the Bay Area but has also lived all over Northern California and overseas. Starting in the Fall of 2020, she began her MA in Human Rights Education at the University of San Francisco with the hopes of creating a positive impact while working toward systemic change in educational settings. She is grateful for the opportunity to partake in the Rising Leaders Fellowship and is ready to turn knowledge into action. When not managing the gear library or assisting with program coordination at Bay Area Wilderness Training (or studying), you can find her climbing rocks, dipping her feet into the ocean, or hiking a beautiful trail.
