Sneha Kumar Fresno cohort Hi! My name is Sneha Kumar and I am currently working as an Environmental Educator in Visalia, California. I am originally from North Carolina, which is where I grew up and eventually went to college. After graduating with my bachelor’s degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I joined an AmeriCorps program and moved to California! I spent two years working as an Environmental Educator through AmeriCorps at Sequoia Riverlands Trust, a land trust in Visalia, California. During my years of service, I had the great opportunity to learn more about the environmental field and explore around the Central Valley, as well as the rest of California. After my two years of service, I was hired on full-time! In addition to my job, I have also returned to school to pursue a degree in Environmental Science and Natural Resources. Though I get to be outside a lot through my job, I also spend all of my free time in the outdoors. I love spending time hiking and exploring in the Sierras, backpacking around the Southwest, kayaking on the coast of California, and riding horses in the foothills! I am really looking forward to learning more about the outdoor areas that I love so much through this program!
