Michelle was raised star gazing, running through vineyards, and eating delicious food in the Central Valley of California. Currently residing in the East Bay, she is a freelancing Environmental Educator all around the Bay Area. Michelle is a first generation college graduate with a BS in Recreation Administration with an Emphasis in Adventure Recreation and Tourism. Growing up to a single mom of five, Michelle had her nature ‘awakening’ in college when she started to spend her free time in Yosemite. From there, she has taught all over the country and has seen how crucial it is to approach education and outdoor spaces through an equity lens. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys surfing, film photography, and going on walks.
