SEEDS Community Agriculture

SEEDS Community Agriculture focuses on migrant and indigenous communities in the Arizona Sonora desert, specifically the border town of Nogales, Arizona on traditional Tohono  O’odham territory. Through an intergenerational leadership practice, and the SEEDS micro farm, they work to preserve indigenous agricultural practices and traditions as a means to use local capacities and reconnect with community through agricultural traditions and the outdoors. Nogales often experiences the departure of young adults in search of jobs and education given the lack of local opportunities. SEEDS works to contribute to the development of a local green economy, local leadership and building the movement for food and environmental justice with our community. SEEDS is creating spaces by and for our community to come together and collaborate to heal soil, grow food, heal community and grow local leaders.
