Mo Henigman

Movement Network Coordinator

Mo (they/them) joins Justice Outside from the unceded lands of the Chochenyo-speaking Ohlone people, also known as Oakland, California. Prior to working with Justice Outside, Mo spent nearly a decade working as a youth educator and care provider. From their time working with children, Mo carries with them a love of learning, a gentle and compassionate spirit, and the core belief that we all deserve spaces where we can show up as our full selves and feel safe, respected, and appreciated.

Mo is honored to be a part of Justice Outside and to be joining in the organization’s commitment to pursuing justice, disrupting oppressive and exclusionary systems and practices, and building power in the outdoors with Black, Indigenous, and communities of Color. It is Mo’s sincerest hope that their work at Justice Outside can support the forward momentum of our movements toward racial equity, climate justice, land rematriation, and beyond.

Mo’s passions: hills, cows, watching plants and people grow, baking bread, being queer and seeing queerness in everything, making large and elaborate meals for loved ones, books, poetry, dancing, and being very silly and very sensitive.
