Albia’s passion for outdoor education blossomed during her participation in a southern California based leadership organization. Backpacking through Wyoming, Albia experienced the empowerment and sense of freedom nature gives. Albia recently graduated from San Francisco State earning a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism with a focus in Nonprofit Management and minor in International Relations.  Throughout her 4 years of undergrad, Albia completed 600+ hours volunteering and working with a diverse range of Bay Area nonprofit organizations that promote social and racial equity through the outdoors and offer empowering opportunities. Albia focuses her advocacy on mentoring youth through leadership activities and connecting youth to the outdoors. Inspired by her experiences, Albia is dedicated to sharing the wonder and challenges nature provides with others.

She is Wilderness First Responder certified (WFR) and attended a NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) Trip Leader Seminar course in Pasayten Wilderness, Washington. She loves practicing yoga, soaking up sun (the snippets SF graciously gives), and running on the beach. During her downtime, you can find Albia enjoying a good cup of coffee by a window.
