Join Explore-A-Thon, Justice Outside’s annual summer campaign to raise funds for our racial justice work and celebrate Black, Indigenous, and People of Color’s joy in the outdoors!
We know that when People of Color explore the outdoors and take up space, while connecting to natural spaces and each other, it is a radical act. Explore-A-Thon is our annual reminder of the things we are fighting so deeply for. Over the course of the campaign, from June 22 to July 31st, we encourage our community members to get outside, explore, experience radiant joy, and find ways to authentically connect with the outdoors, each other, and Justice Outside. Here are some ways you can participate:
- Join a community of fundraisers by setting up a campaign on JustGiving or on Facebook to raise money for our work to make the outdoors movement more equitable and just. Here’s a social media toolkit to help you get started. We will support your throughout the process.
- Share a picture of your joyful self exploring the outdoors with the hashtags #JusticeOutside and #ExploreJoyAndJustice.
- Send us your photo on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook and we’ll uplift your post!
