Outdoor Asian Washington provides opportunities for Asian Pacific Islander and other Communities of Color to connect with the natural world through celebrating land, oceans, coasts, and culture, and in 2021, the program plans to engage in coastal and marine ecosystem support through beach cleanups and razor clamming.
- The group plans to highlight culturally relevant places in Washington State like the tidal flats where the Yamashita family helped revive a struggling oyster industry in the Pacific Northwest before they were interned.
