2017 OEI Alum
Irwin Perez recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science in Society and Environment. Irwin has grown up in the bay area and knows first-hand about the lack of access youth of color experience in outdoor spaces, especially those that come from low-income backgrounds. In his free time Irwin enjoys listening to music (from Kendrick Lamar to Metallica and back to Vicente Fernandez) as well as going on hikes with his 5lb. chihuahua, Panchita. Irwin’s primary goal is helping folks of all backgrounds; whether it be race, ethnicity, gender, age, and body size explore the the outdoors and gain valuable life skills that will help them in their daily lives.
