2017 OEI Alum
Valerie Lee works for Grassroots Ecology as an educator and facilitator of ecologically restorative programs for the public. Before working in the Peninsula and South Bay open spaces, Valerie earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara. During her time in Santa Barbara, Valerie spent countless hours helping to recover coastal dunes, grassland, riparian, chaparral, and slough habitats. Valerie is particularly interested in the interrelationships of our natural and developed landscapes, an interest ignited by her field studies in South Africa.
