South Bay cohort
MJ (she/her/hers) is a Bay Area native, Filipino-American, and a huge kid at heart. She graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Neuroscience and Physiology. Currently MJ is a Naturalist at San Mateo Outdoor Education in La Honda, CA. MJ enjoys running, hiking, reading, and playing various sports. MJ wants to be a representative to women of color, especially Asian American women, and other underrepresented backgrounds who have little to no access to the outdoors. She has found much of her personal strength and growth hiking through National Parks and East Bay Regional Parks. MJ is always anticipating her next adventure and hopes to radiate joy and positivity along the way.
