Victoria Boykin

San Francisco / Oakland cohort

My name is Victoria Boykin (she/her) and I’m a third generation Bay Area native. I’m currently a senior at Stanislaus State studying Agriculture with a concentration in Economics. One of the primary reasons I chose to study agriculture was because I saw inequities in the food system and its disproportionate impacts on communities of color. My goal is to be able to serve and help others, and ultimately work to make food more accessible and affordable for low income communities through urban farming and food education. I learned the importance of connecting with the land and our food sources, and want to share that knowledge with our youth!
