Elexis is an artist, educator, naturalist, and deeply curious human. Her background is in Art and Community Studies, and she currently teaches science and social-emotional skills at an elementary school garden. She is a Master Composter, as certified by the San Mateo County Office of Sustainability, and yes, she would love to talk to you about worm bins. An avid hiker, camper, and backpacker, she shares the joy of her outdoor experiences through her photographs and illustrations. She aims to educate others about climate change and waste reduction through her artwork, while also exploring themes of human relationships with the land. Beyond her day-job, she is a beginner roller skater, bookworm, dancer, and maker.
