Jen Aguilar (she/her) was raised in Southeast Los Angeles, the ancestral homeland of the Tongva people. Her first exposure to the outdoors came through playing at local city parks. It was in these parks that she discovered her love of connecting with the natural world. Today, Jen is an Education Specialist with the California Native Plant Society. She has 11 years of experience working in informal education across various institutions in Los Angeles. Jen’s passion for education and learning has only grown stronger over the years, and she hopes to continue inspiring people to be curious and create lasting connections with the natural world.
