Audrey Serene Alonso grew up witnessing firsthand how the intersections of environmental racism and the climate crisis play a role in the lives of frontline communities. She recognizes the importance of ensuring science-based climate information is accessible to communities facing the climate crisis first and worst. Audrey received her Social Justice Communication B.A. during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic while working with the Charles R. Drew University’s Urban Health Institute, where she helped provide clear information to communities most affected by COVID-19 in Los Angeles County. She loves to spend time outdoors and believes that with climate justice must come outdoor equity for all BIPOC communities.
