Georgia (she/her) is originally from Chillicothe, Ohio. She earned a BS in Marine, Freshwater, and Environmental Biology from Ohio University. After graduating, she became a Teach for America Corps member, and began teaching 9th grade biology while also working as an informal educator at the Memphis Zoo. During this time, she fell in love with education and connecting students, teachers, and communities with the environment. Currently, Georgia is an Education Specialist at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. In this role, she combines her love for community engagement and passion for DEIAJ with her skills as an environmental educator.
