Samira (she/they) spent their childhood in Germany before moving to US. Coming from a multicultural household, they were drawn to study Anthropology at the University of South Florida (USF), before traveling abroad to earn their MA in Cultural Anthropology. Upon returning to the US, they served as a Women’s History Research Associate for the NPS, where they aided in the diversification of the collections online portfolio. Now, as a Member Manager for the Cultural Resources Diversity Internship Program, they support youth from marginalized communities who are navigating their own internships in the NPS. On their days off, you will most likely find them outdoors, taking care of their pet snails, or playing guitar.
