Maya Sullivan

Maya is a proudly queer second-generation Japanese-American who grew up on the occupied lands of the Coast Salish people. Surrounded by the mountains and the sea, Maya loves connecting with nature. She is currently transitioning careers from international humanitarian assistance to climate justice, where she hopes to continue serving communities through intentional, trust-based, and intersectional programming. Driven by a strong desire to create and hold space and connect with people of different backgrounds of her own, Maya is excited to apply her learnings from this fellowship to her career, volunteer work in outdoor inclusion, and person life.
