We are proud to share the latest cohort of our grantee partners awarded with the Youth Access to Nature grants!
At Justice Outside, grantmaking is one of our core strategies to support systemic change for racial justice and equity. Our Liberated Paths: Youth Access to Nature Fund supports the work of local organizations that increase access to the outdoors for youth of color.
This year, we distributed just over half a million dollars in funds to 21 organizations. Rooted in representative leadership, these community organizations lead adventures and explorations for Black, Indigenous, and Children of Color, support the sustenance of Indigenous traditions, knowledge, and connection to nature, empower girls of color to become defenders of racial justice, fight for food sovereignty, support young people in finding their voices and telling their stories, steward the land and return it to Indigenous people, and so much more. Click here to get to know the impressive cohort of YAN grantees, we are honored to be in partnership with them.
Join us in congratulating these changemakers for receiving the Youth Access to Nature grants to support, sustain, and strengthen their valuable work supporting young people and their communities across the Bay Area. You can share our posts on Instagram and give shout-outs and support as we feature each organization in the coming days.
