Alyssa (she/her) was raised in North Carolina by Chinese immigrant parents, and recently moved to Portland after becoming fascinated with the socio-cultural landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Formative experiences with seasonal fieldwork and trail maintenance led her to earn a B.A. in geography from UNC-Chapel Hill and sparked her interest in helping staff at mainstream environmental organizations embrace anti-racism and environmental justice. She finds joy in tree gazing, baking rosemary bread, and exploring Asian grocery stores.
