Carlos (he, him, él) is a bilingual naturalist and outdoor educator who grew up in Ensenada, Baja California, México, and now lives in Long Beach, California. Carlos works with elementary through High School-aged students in a variety of outdoor education settings. Through Crystal Cove Conservancy at Crystal Cove State Park and Marine Protected Area, Carlos facilitates student groups gathering field data for studies through UC Irvine. He also works with local homeschool organizations to offer nature study programming in Spanish. Carlos is passionate about ocean ecosystems and conservation. He enjoys fishing and diving and seeks to raise awareness of critical sustainability issues within the fishing communities in Baja and Southern California.
