Daisy Ambriz-Peres (she/her) was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is a first generation American, daughter of Mexican immigrants. For Daisy, who she is, her language, her culture, and her conservation ethics are greatly influenced by her family and heritage. In 2016, she moved to Humboldt County, California. She graduated in the Spring of 2019 with a B.S. in Wildlife Conservation from Humboldt State University. She has worked as a wildlife biologist but ultimately fell in love with environmental education. She now works in a non-profit organization called Friends of the Dunes. She is interested in joining her passion for conservation and equity and inclusion work. In her spare time, she is splashing in rivers, flying on aerial silks, and adventuring with her puppies, partner, and friends.
