As a mixed-race, Egyptian American, teacher and outdoor educator, Grace (She/her) strives to make those around her feel seen and cared for. In 2020, she co-directed a free, virtual summer camp for 500+ kids in NYC. In 2021, she facilitated a teen leadership program at Camp Hazen YMCA with a focus on equity and justice. In 2022, she supervised a diverse, 20+ staff as the Outdoor Pursuits Director. In 2023, she co-lead the implementation of Hazen’s Restorative Justice practice and inaugural BIPOC Family Day. Most recently, she has worked as a DEIJ consultant and trainer for OAAARS, a BIPOC lead education and youth development consultancy, and a facilitator at the Connecticut Wilderness School.
