Nancy Diaz

Nancy (she/ella) is a proud child of Mexican immigrants with roots in the Sierra Gorda mountains. Born and raised in the mountains of North Carolina, Nancy’s commitment to environmental advocacy in mountain communities is a part of her heritage. She is currently the Southern Regional Director for MountainTrue, an environmental advocacy nonprofit in the Southern Blue Ridge Mountains. Additionally, Nancy serves on nonprofit and local government volunteer board and committees. In the almost 2 years working directly with environmental advocacy programs, and several more years working directly with Latino and immigrant communities, Nancy has gained insights and a vision for environmental and conservation efforts that are Latinx-community led.
