Rukmini Kalamangalam (she/her) is a south asian southerner, raised in Houston and currently living in Atlanta. Her work is is invested in building power in communities of color, especially those affected by state and interpersonal violence. In the past, she has contributed to empowerment spaces with South Asian survivors of violence, incarcerated survivors of gender-based violence, and at-risk girls. In all spaces, she is a student of abolition. She enjoys a long walk outdoors, hiking (especially when there are waterfalls involved), and is an enthusiastic beginner at plant identification.
