Samantha Houck

After years of working and traveling, they went back and got a master’s in International Affairs focused on Environment, Energy, and Health. They work to create awareness on the wealth of knowledge our Indigenous Communities Internationally have and their struggles with injustices. They enjoy conversations on the intersectionality of who people are and how systems (and histories) affect each of our stories. At the end of their master’s, they fell in love with Geographic Imaging Systems, leading to the work they are currently doing to use data to drive policy changes. They look forward to exchanging experiences, sharing knowledge, and finding ways to intertwine being outside with sustainable learning for the next generation.
