Shirley joined Woodcraft Camp via AmeriCorps Vista after graduating with a B.S. in Earth Systems Science from UC Merced. With experience as an Outdoor Educator and Park Ranger in Yosemite and San Francisco, she’s excited to inspire future generations in her community through outdoor experiences that foster Social Emotional Learning. Shirley’s passion is to connect BIPOC communities to nature as a space for healing. In her free time, she enjoys camping, backpacking, swimming, painting, and spending time with family and friends.
