Sophia Uribe, grew up in San Diego with ancestral roots of Indigenous Mexican Huicholes & Chichimecas. She prides herself in being a scientist, community builder, & outdoor enthusiast. As a photographer, surfer, & runner – Sophia has such enthusiasm for how we can learn from our most our greatest teacher, Mother Nature. Her work within Native Like Water allows her to share space with folks in the water, reconnecting to our ancestral water ways, & bringing people together for further connection. As a youth mentor, big sis, & program coordinator, Sophia is looking to help raise the next generation of ocean/water leaders by working with youth in blue spaces.
