Vannaleze Barcelos

Vannaleze Barcelos is an outdoor advocate and photographer currently based in Berkeley, CA. Vannaleze works to establish new forms of imagery. Primarily focusing on the equal representation of black and brown bodies in natural environments. She is graduating from a University of California with a degree in Global Arts with experience in working for a national park and collaborating with art conservatories. While developing her career between intersections of fine arts and outdoor education, she also produces from other mediums such as oil painting, music production, and developing her own film photography. As her upbringing exposed her to many educators, she sees herself as a new source of knowledge for unlimited self-expression, exploration, and understanding. Ultimately, she strives to make meaningful experiences from her work by rendering a clean landscape through which both physical and mental health of her communities can be uplifted.
