Rachael Meyers

Rachael Meyers (She/Her/Hers) is a Mixed Black educator in Oakland, CA. She is originally from New England, and considers herself a life-long Camp Counselor. As Director of Cultural & Outdoor Programs at North Oakland Community Charter School (NOCCS), she currently directs all extended day and summer programs designed to empower and liberate her students through social justice based outdoor and arts learning. She has made her life’s work about creating spaces of healing, mentorship, and community in nature for Black & Brown youth. Rachael spends her free time hiking, camping, canoeing, making stained glass windows, writing, cooking, and listening to Prince.
