We are so thankful to our community for joining us for Explore-A-Thon 2022 and making it a successful campaign.
Together, we raised nearly $25,000 for Justice Outside’s work for racial justice and equity in the outdoors. This wouldn’t have been possible without you creating fundraisers, donating, and sharing our mission and campaign with your community. Thank you!
Our campaign’s success goes beyond the money raised. We are inspired by many community members who responded to our call for sharing their photos of joy in the outdoors. Experiencing the outdoors as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in a country where white supremacy can make it unsafe for us to exist is an act of resistance. Exploring the world with joy is an act of rebellion in the face of oppression and discrimination. Thank you for inspiring our community and the world with your joy, exploration, and reclaiming of space!

We are also thankful to WRA, Inc. staff Derell Griffin and Ivy Poisson who led our community hike and learn, Hiking for All, and shared their knowledge about the local ecology of Half Moon Bay and the importance of accessible trails.
