Joe (he/him) is an educator, youth mentor and adventurer from the Bay Area who currently works seasonally at Kenai Fjords National Park in Alaska. His childhood time spent outdoors with rocks and plants both small and large has sparked a consistent tug to immerse himself in the natural world. To find himself absorbed in moments of peace wrapped in wind and water. Joe believes that intentional work and change is necessary to ensure everyone an opportunity to develop their own threads that intertwine them in community with nature and each other. In his own time, he straddles an ever-fluctuating balance between wanting to set off on a multi-day backpacking adventure and preferring to explore fantasy worlds at home with a warm bowl of noodles.
