Daniel Correa

Daniel was born in Medellin, Colombia and moved to New Jersey with his family when he was little. However, due to his interest in exploring the West Coast, Daniel decided to move to the Bay Area just a few years ago. Daniel’s passion and curiosity about the natural world and the outdoors began during his time in college, he graduated from Stockton University with a B.A. in Environmental Science and a minor in Latin American and Caribbean studies. Since graduating college in 2017, Daniel has been actively involved in the restoration, education and conservation of wetlands in various States, through non-profit organizations programs, AmeriCorps and local government agencies. When Daniel is not out in the field removing invasive plant species, or taking data points, he can be found outdoors hiking, bird watching, camping, or trail running. Most recently he has taken an interest in indoor rock climbing. Daniel also likes to devote his time to volunteering with outdoor and education based organizations. Some of his favorite volunteer activities include trail building, guiding interpretation walks, and tree plantings.
